your eyes are not deceiving you, i am posting again ...2 days in a row! when is the last time i did that? i'm not even going to go and look back to see when that was. i mentioned in my post yesterday that i made a little video of the 50 mile ride we did on sunday. it was just me, the j-man and our neighbor jm. jm rode with us the first half. before i post the video, here is a funny story for you. i sent this video to a friend of mine (who asked for anonymity) earlier today and she emailed me back to ask if she can get that song on the video from me AND THEN SHE ASKED, are you ready for this?? "Who is that person with the white tennis shoes leading your pack? Isn't it hard riding with those kinds of shoes on a road bike??" my reply back was, "he would throw up if he knew you just called his $500 cycling shoes, tennis shoes!!" we had a good laugh and then she said i couldn't tell him and i won't but maybe he'll read this. don't worry nameless girl, you two probably won't ever cross paths and if you do and i'm there, i won't give you up, ok? by the way, these are the tennis shoes cycling shoes he had on:
this video has lots of great booty shots ...NO, not mine! seriously, even though there isn't anything special about this video, i found myself watching it several times today at work, fantasizing about being out there on my bike instead of sitting on my butt in a cubicle, staring at 2 computer screens for 8 hours. anyway, i'm done day dreaming and i'm heading out for real ride now!
here is the video with some pretty good energetic music:
James, I was scared I would be videoing me crashing b/c I was one handed on the bike and holding the cam as steady as i could in the other. It is a FlipHD video cam. What i love about it, is that you can make pictures from the video footage. I hope you are ok from your crash. What the heck was going on this weekend? You crashed, Jeff crashed. Yikes!
Do you think that watching rides of people is the same as me putting in long hours on the bike training for the iron distance? I think so. Eat a cookie for me if you agree.
Like EMZ said, you had me at "booty shots". However you lost me at "no, not mine" - haha.
I am thinking of using a Flip cam this summer to film some of my long rides and use them as scenery in the winter months using something like this (http://www.amazon.com/Flip-Video-AAM1N-Action-Tripod/dp/B000VJTKRY).
For now, I will just put this video on repeat while I ride and watch the same thing over and over again dreaming of warmer months.
I love it! $500 "tennis shoes." I've never tried actual tennis shoes, but I ride my own road bike with my running shoes and have never had an issue (aside from the initial 'shoelace getting caught in the gears' one).
I'm impressed with the one-handed biking. I've been thinking of how to video my own rides and decided on somehow strapping my camera to the handlebar. I'm sure I'd be crashing if I went that long one-handed. Quite impressed!!
You should get a mount for the camera and that way you can put it on your helmet and ride two handed. :-) My brother has one for his bike rides and skiing it's fun!
What was funny was that I was getting a music mash up of the song "Never Been Kissed" on your homepage radio and the video music. It wasn't bad. Kind of a techno spin on the whole thing! Bike ride scheduled for tomorrow. That path looks awesome!

ReplyDeleteWhat camera are you using? I wish I would have been filming my crash over the weekend. Would have been cool footage.
ReplyDeleteGreat video!! LOL @ Emz
