happy friday eve my friends! i recently got a flip hd ultra and have been playing around learning how to use it so i took it out on wednesday evening to test it out. remember the rain video from last week? well, after all of that rain for 2 days straight, the park we ride at, near our house, was flooded out big time, so we decided to do a ride in the hood.
i'm pretty good at multi-tasking but i was careful and only took video when we were on straightaways. we named this ride, criterium in the hood. criterium in the hood is 6.1 miles for 1 loop and consists of 7 turns. the best part about the ride is that after every turn, you have to stand and pedal, pedal, pedal your a$$ off to get the bike back up to speed. i've enjoyed this ride more than i thought i would. we've been doing 4-5 loops depending on time.
when you watch the quick video i posted, pay attention because the next reader appreciation giveaway item is in there somewhere. you can't miss it!
if you haven't already done so, there is still 28 hours left to win yourself some nice shades. go here and just follow the simple directions to get your name in the hat.
much love and peace out!
oops, i had the video set to private and it wouldn't play. should be good to go now.
ReplyDeleteStill getting a "private" message
ReplyDeleteArnie has a P3C Cervelo and I have a P2SL.
ReplyDeleteLook for the "old guys" in the far corner of the parking lot.
We average around 16mph on the hills and are doing 85 this weekend.
Your 6.1 loop sounds like Flatwoods, but that is 8 miles if I remember correctly?
video is set to broadcast so not on private anymore. maybe the settings take a while to take effect?
ReplyDeletelike the video...either you're giving away a husband or a RoadID. For my sake, I hope its the RoadID! Not that the husband doesn't look good in spandex! ...yea...I'm going to stop before I dig myself a hole.
ReplyDeleteIt's a cliff bar, with sweat stains on the wrapper!
ReplyDeleteYou really have taken multi-tasking to a new level!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a pretty road to ride on. The trees are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteGreat Vid KC ... made me want to go ride. That is a pretty decent track, some wide white lines and road in good conditions!
ReplyDeleteMaybe I will loop that onto the TV and use it like a spinervals training!!
So are you giving away a golf vacation to FL? ..hehe

I've suffered some serious setbacks which will leave me limping along in Boston, but I will be there! Some bloggies friends are gathering after the event to celebrate, would love it if you could come join us for awhile :). Happy Training!!
