rain, rain go away

i took this video about 20 minutes ago and as i was uploading it, a lightning and thunder clap scared the hell out of me. good thing it didn't happen while i was taking the video because i would of crapped my pants and there would have been video evidence of that.

feels like a typical summer day here. supposed to be more of the same tomorrow so don't know when i'm going to be able to swim. guess i'll be hitting the Y over the weekend, which is supposed to be real nice.

thankfully, i got in a good 8.25 mile run this morning before all the rain started. it was coming down in sheets on my way home from work and i could barely see. tornado warnings all over the place. glad i made it home safe and dry and i did not see any tornadoes.

i guess it's time to get on the bike for a fast spin to nowhere.

happy friday eve everyone! much love and peace out!

side note: i did end up being able to swim afterall. the ugly lightning and heavy rain took a break and the Y said, it's a go, so go i did. i feel much better now. thanks to swim buddy for calling me with the update on the Y.  i hate feeling like i'm getting behind, especially on the one thing (swimming) that is my weakest link.

  2. LOL about crapping your pants!!!! The lightning was right on us as evidenced by the mere seconds between the flash and the boom!

Funny - I was also thinking it felt like summer today. Boo hiss. No fall and now no spring?? UNFAIR!!

  4. KC -- When your in the "compose" page while doing your new post, in the upper right hand corner click on "edit html" (or something like this) and change the width of the video clip. I think I usually knock it down to 425, it is listed in two spots and you have to change both. It should fit then!

Sucks about the rain ... at least you got your workouts in!! I saw snakes today ... the only downside of summer!

  5. Jeff - thanks for that tech tip. something so simple. i know it's getting t be summer when i'm eating gnats throughout my ride...and seeing rattlesnakes galore(dead or alive).
